Repair S5-1 EPIQ/IU22 Sector Probe Cable
Tears on the sheath/ Damage in the cable sheath / Broken cable
Tears on the sheath can cause further internal damages to probe and can also hurt the patient. It leads to noise in the picture, a missing connection or lines in the image. It could have been caused by falling on the floor or being hit with another object, wear and tear of the wires, or a cut of the wire by a sharp object. It can even be caused from frequent and prolonged use. If your cable is damaged, you need probe repair services to fix the damage.
Solution
Cable patches, possible cable replacement
We provide repair service on most common probes (Linear, convex, sector), 3D/4D transducers, and Endocavity/TEE probes.
With 10 years experiences on probe repair, our technical engineer team owns the most advanced probe repair processes, which enables us to fix probes from a basic lens fault to 4D /TEE fault.

Common Probe failure
1. Lens: Acoustic lens damage or bulge
2. Cable: the cable is damaged and the shell is cracked
3. Image attenuation: aging attenuation
4. Shadow: dark vertical line
5. Not recognized: probe not recognized
6. Interference: probe interference
Probe Troubleshooting Summary
1. Check whether multiple probes are the same phenomenon, sometimes it is necessary to plug again
2. Lens and crystal failure are sometimes similar, both are shadowing on the image
3. If there is a single probe problem, replace the socket to have a check.
4. The high frequency probe (small parts probe) is sensitive. If only this probe doesn’t work, may be caused by machine failure.
