The Samsung HS60 and HS50 are twins born in 2017. The Samsung HS60 has more features and transducers, but they look basically the same and have the same imaging and ergonomic tools. Furthermore, the Samsung HS70A shares many similarities, with technical and clinical concepts borrowed from the WS80A and RS80A.
The Samsung HS60 is a high-end entry-level ultrasound system, similar to the GE Logiq S7 and GE Voluson S6. Its OB-GYN general imaging and 3D/4D options are better than the GE Logiq S7 and similar to the GE Voluson S6.
Known for its excellent ergonomic systems, Samsung systems integrate "easy-to-use" automation, as one would expect from the number one business electronics giant. With the recently upgraded "S-Vision System Architecture", its image quality has also been greatly improved thanks to its single crystal transducer and its S-harmonic, ClearVision and MultiVision imaging technologies. The Samsung HS60 just got quieter, sleeker, and lighter.
Unnecessary workload caused by repeated operations and actions is reduced. These interface options include Quick Presets, EZ-Exam+, EZ Compare, Measurement Navigation and Quick Scan. Touch customization combined with Samsung's user interface options greatly enhances productivity.
The Samsung HS series is rich in general-purpose imaging and OB/GYN application functions. E-Strain on the Samsung HS60 is one of the unique options to increase the accuracy and efficiency of elastography. Unfortunately, CEUS+ is not yet clinically accepted and appears to require more clinical evaluation and validation before it can be approved.
With outstanding premium linear transducers, Elastoscan, E-Strain and Needle Mate+, interventional radiology has expanded clinical coverage and enhanced accuracy and efficiency in biopsy procedures. If medical professionals need an OB-GYN system with particularly powerful 3D/4D capabilities, the Samsung HS60 and HS50 are two of the best options in the mid- to high-end entry-level ultrasound system, competing with the GE Voluson S6 and GE Voluson P8.
